Vesicularia montagnei 'Christmas Moss'
This tissue culture aquarium plant is supplied in a sealed cup and features a distinctive moss variety from Brazil, commonly known as Christmas Tree Moss. The plant remains compact, typically growing 1–3 cm tall, making it ideal for detailed aquascaping.
Named for its unique side-branching structure, Christmas Tree Moss forms layered fronds that resemble fir tree branches, clearly setting it apart from standard Vesicularia dubyana (Java moss). Due to its refined growth habit, it is more demanding than regular Java moss and grows at a slower pace.
The moss attaches easily to driftwood and stones, where it spreads gradually through the aquarium. Regular trimming is recommended to maintain its characteristic shape and keep the plant looking neat and attractive.
