The Electric Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi), also known as the Blue Ram Cichlid or Butterfly Cichlid, is a selectively bred variety of Ram Cichlid admired for its vibrant coloration and generally peaceful temperament. Captive-bred Electric Blue Rams descend from wild populations originating in the Orinoco River Basin of Colombia and Venezuela.
