Butterworm

Butterworms are a highly appealing feeder insect option for reptiles and amphibians, prized for their bright coloration and irresistible movement. Originally from Chile, these moth larvae are comparable to waxworms in nutritional profile, offering a rich, high-fat content that makes them best suited as an occasional reward or enrichment treat.

Measuring roughly 1 to 1.5 inches long, butterworms stand out with their vivid yellow-orange hue, helping stimulate natural hunting and feeding behaviors. They’re an excellent way to add variety to your pet’s feeding routine while keeping mealtime exciting.
